I took the afternoon off to watch the maiden voyage of the Jackie B.................Tybee Island.... "almost" summer...2012.
I am suppose to be taking some time off for fun so I thought this would be a great place to begin.
I took my camera ( just like a tourist) and rode my pink bike to Aj's Restaurant on the back river to watch the event unfold. http://a-j'sdocksidetybee/
The boat is 11 feet long but it looks just like an America's cup contender in miniature (Kathi a new project for you).
If you LOVE color you will be right at home at this happy colorful place...Color everywhere....happiness and good food abound............

As it should be.
I love it. Being from So FL my son & I would go up to Ft Pierce and rent the "Rachel B Jackson" and go sailing on the inter-coastal. I love sailing, and I really miss it too. Just might have to get up to Tybee and do something fun, maybe jet skiing. I always do something different on my birthday. AJ's looks like fun too. Maybe this yr.

Someday I WILL come to visit Tybee!

Jane, We visited Savanna and Tybee last fall. I loved Tybee more that any other place we've been. The beaches were fantastic, the food was great and the people warm and friendly! Savanna was great too, just a totally different type of atmosphere!
Your photos are awesome and I found you through your blog header on pinterest! I love the little couch with the piano window! I have the window and am looking forward to putting on our new deck at the cabin!
