Let there be White !

This was the pink door and room. I love, love, love old doors and old hardware! This family loves red and blue, so once it's furnished, no one will realize that the walls are painted all white since the art and furnishings bring the color. Floors will be installed next week.

Stay tuned!

Progress Report

On February 11th, I wrote about saving a cottage and its beautiful old windows. Here is a peek of the interior (looking toward the kitchen) as things are progressing. Lots of white paint to enlarge the space, but I left a bit of the old wood for everyone to see.

RICHARD LEO JOHNSON

The online store is open, thanks to a huge group effort! This is my Happy Place and Richard took this photograph the day we took beauty shots for the store. Most of the photographs of my work were taken by Richard, who is not only an AMAZING photographer, but a great musician (his music is available online) and friend. His websites are: http://www.richardleojohnson.com/ and http://www.atlanticarchives.com/ if you'd like to see more of his work and hear some of his critically-acclaimed music!

Ready! Set! Shop!

My online store is now live!

No one believed it could happen, especially me! I just bought my own autographed book, and the payment went through! Amazing! We are still adding things and loading images but just wanted to see it in operation. I am so thankful to Beth Thrasher of Thrasher Photo and Design for building the store and working with me and to Winn Coslick (my son), and Anna Speir and Ashley Koncul for all the hours of organizing, pondering and planning this endeavor.
Please visit the Jane Coslick Cottage Collection-- there you can purchase just about all of the wonderful items you see in the homes I've designed.

Let me know what you think! And happy shopping!

Happy Sunday

A Richard Leo Johnson photograph of Luscious Little Cottage and Peckinpah, the rescue dog who loves to have his picture taken. Richard had already framed the shot and just as he was about to shoot, Peckinpah walked right into the frame and struck this pose. Everytime I see this photo it makes me smile. Enjoy!!!!

My Inspiration Room

When life gets too hectic I go to my inspiration room, located behind the Bohemian Cottage in the garden. My busy schedule keeps me on the move, but when I finally slow down for the day I find myself either here or in the gazebo. What began as "World Headquarters" for the online store is now the great "Happiness Habitat."

Napping and pondering here is strongly encouraged!

More Black and White

After working on "Sulley's Room," I realized that my life is full of Black and White--but always with a hint of color. Here are the doors of my office on the Isle of Hope (27 minutes from Tybee Island). It was originally built as the island's Post Office before becoming the General Store, and is now part of Isle of Hope's wonderful history! Don't you just love the name--The Isle of Hope!

"Kitty Decor" Snapshot

I decided to do this room around "Sulley," a feral rescue cat from Tybee, who has obviously adjusted well to life at "A Bohemian Cottage." Feral cats are just cats waiting for a home and a nice bed.

Paula Deen and Jane Coslick

Paula Deen has a new book that just came out called SAVANNAH STYLES . It has wonderful photos, but no food unfortunately! It does however, have several fun and funky Jane Coslick-designed spaces. This seems to be everyone's favorite!

More Flowers From Anna Speir !

My son was married on Saturday March the 20th! My assistant Anna Speir did the flowers in lime greens and purples, the favorite colors of the bride and groom.
