After and Before...............

Key Lime Parrot Cottage                    The Shrimp Cottage

I love this cottage and it's sister cottage The Shrimp!!!( Two cottages on one piece of property)

enclosed the space and added an outdoor shower for a bit of privacy
They are cheery cottages .. good mood living!!!!
They didn't always look like this..................
This is what they looked like when my clients purchased them and hired me to do my magic ..Fix them up and fluff them!!!!

They were very brave.

HERE IS 812 SECOND AVE( NOW CALLED ONE BEAD COTTAGE) IN AN ARTICLE FOR THE NEWPAPER. I LOVE TO SEE IT BECAUSE IT WAS ONE COTTAGE I HAD WANTED TO SAVE FOR YEARS...AND THE PHOTO IS OF MY MOM STANDING BY  THE SIGN. ..........SHE ALWAYS BELIEVED IN ME AND I MISS HERE VERY MUCH

I was so excited when I found the old original pocket window in the right side. someone had covered it up and it always looked like it "had one eye opened and one eye closed." My banker had purchased it and got scared  and sold it to me..My lucky day!!!!!!
Every time I ride by these three cottages, I fall in love with them all over again.

  1. Jane, you have such a gift to see the beauty in these relic cottages. You are truly an inspiration to us all.

I especially love the Shrimp cottage...maybe because of the "shrimp" and lime green paints. Whatever...it's adorable!

  3. so many people live such beige lives. you live and create in
    technicolor!!! happy colors!
it's always fascinated me that some of the poorest cultures in the world are also sometimes the happiest (unless it's abject poverty without enough food of course ... then that's a whole other story) but they do have one thing in common... their love of color.
in their historical folk costumes and just their everyday lives...
    i think that's interesting.
you go girl! color the world!

  4. Unbelievable..you really do have the majic touch! Your color combinations are what makes them special also. Thank God for moms to believe in us! I have been looking for the square lattice and am only finding the normal diamond at Lowes and Home Depot. I don't want to be normal. You have given me so much inspiration to jump into color.

  7. Vinyl fencing material continues to take the fencing industry by storm. Vinyl fences do not require any type of maintenance other than washing them down with water. Once installed, there is little you will need to do to protect your fencing investment. Thanks for sharing it....
