New Year..New Cottage

After  much renovation...(.and blood sweat and tears) a beautiful and much loved cottage is open for business.   The business of making wonderful Tybee Island memories with friends and family at the  Coral Cottage. It will be a Tybee Cottages Vacation Rental      www.tybeecottage.com.  Send them an email  until the photos are on the site.

Living Room
The walls are painted a color other than white because they are sheet rock . I selected a color that would compliment the great  turquoise stove ( Sherwin Williams buoyant blue). My goal was soothing and relaxing.

Living Room .original fireplace with a  nautical chart that was left in the house. I love the contrast of the old and the IKEA.

Detail.. a light from World market. the shade and the cord are sold separate
the television will be mounted over this great chest that the cottage owner, Vicky Patton painted.....Now the twig crab is just resting there and my cup of water.. tee hee
Dining room and coral chandelier

this piece was original to the house  but we added color
detail of an ebay or etsy print that Vicky bought. The mats are painted HC1 Ben Moore to created interest and contrast
a yummy shrimp salad   would look beautiful in there

view into sun room from dining room  a great mix of old and new with lots of coral touches

the sunny wonderful sun room

I love the kitchen. It is small but packs a great  dose of happiness. The homeowner,  Vicky Patton  has  a great blog that she started about the entire experience.... Very Very Vicky blog spot. It is great. She is quite the  Internet shopper and bargain hunter.I love that about her. She lives out of town but both she and her husband were both born in  Savannah.

the stove was also original to the house (but not the turquoise)

now if this isn't fun nothing is...
Added the same chrome detail to the edge of the  soft grey laminated counter tops....very retro and the bar stools will also be retro style( they are on the way) and I will post a few more photos.
had the stove painted and re chromed.. even the light on the back works. It has great storage

the outdoor shower can be seen from this window

how fun is this!!!! Vicky tells you how to find this fun piece on her blog.

My client gift to Vicky and Henry.. I took one of the  the original window and had my favorite cottage words painted on it for her ( the contractor replaced all of the great old windows and we all know how I FEEL  about that!!!! Boo Hoo)
I need to educated that nice man....

  3. Love what you have done with the cottage. Especially that it is not too precious. Just right for a relaxing holiday and the kitchen is big enough for others to pitch in.
