A kitchen does not have to be large to be functional. This cottage kitchen can serve the best macaroni and cheese and family favorites even though it is not large.
Here, when you are in the kitchen, you are not away from the fun you are still front and center ! I love the collection of red and white that has been in the family for years.
Great light from beautiful windows and soft white linen panel that filter the sun shine ever so softly....

Gonga's Cottage......Featured in Coastal Living Magazine

The September issue of Coastal Living Magazine features a special little cottage with very big style. The family loves nautical things and the colors of red and blue.They have been collecting wonderful things for years and were willing to share  all their treasures with us during the photo shoot.
The exterior of the cottage is as great from the front as it is from the back.The porches are so livable and every nook holds a piece of their collection. The cottage is part of the family compound on Whitmarsh Island 15 minutes from Savannah on  beautiful  Richardson Creek. They love the water and boating and they all took part in all phases of the project.

the antique brick patio was added as was the back screen porch.

The family has a shop with great things like shells and nautical things and one of a kind items for sale. I suggested they call it LINDA' LEFTOVERS  because when you move into a tiny cottage you have so many things that wont fit.

Hi Friends,

Happy Friday! This is Crystal again. Okay show of hands please! How many of you have wondered what the Designer Diva's office looks like? Well sit tight because I have a treat for you today. I sweet-talked Jane into letting me take and post some images from her office. I thought some of you might like a little peeksie too. Most of Jane's work is done at a client's home. And for those times that she has to come into the office and do boring things like paperwork here is where she goes.

Her office is very unassuming, and is located in the breath taking district of Isle of Hope.

No matter what angle you stand at it's simple gorgeous. I love all the Spanish moss dripping from the oak trees. It speaks to my heart and I feel very at home when I'm surrounded by it.

Meet Lance. Or, as I lovingly nicked named, Lancy Pants. I wanted to bring him back home with me. 

Jane pays attention to even the smallest details. Look at this color paired with black and white zebra rug. LOVE IT!

Be still my heart. This is the view from Jane's desk. Seriously, who could get any work done looking out of a beautiful window like this. Reminds me of a Thomas Kincade calendar.

I think she must own every book on decorating known to man. 

I fell in love with this little chandy. It's so petite and darling.

A New Slipcover & The Pillow Giveaway

I'm a happy lady today. I have a  new slipcover for my loveseat. I took a few pictures of the pillow that will be given away this Friday. This is a pillow that can be used indoors or out. It could be on the bed, sofa, chair or the chaise.
I think the slipcover looks great. And here it is  "in the raw." These photos were taken before my very talented slipcover artist, Jennifer Hale made it. She had just loaded the fabric into her basket and was getting ready to pedal back home. She loves her bike as much as I do. That's how we roll down here.

And off she goes to make my new slipcover!
